Chrome. Wheels, engine, exhaust, bars, clocks, pannier rails. This 2013 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 Custom XL1200 has it all! The chrome spoked wheels finish the bikes classic American look. This particular machine was never a bike made to look at, with a backrest and a rear mounted luggage rack.

Known, with love, as the ’72 the bike nods its head to the classic H-D machines of the 1970s. Pieces like those pull back handlebars, the single clock and the underslung mirrors all combine to make something with a wonderful timeless look and feel.

Powered by the companies Evolution 1212cc engine is where the new tech joins that look with a newer and more comfortable ride. While it’s still an old school air cooled twin its rubber-mounted and has aluminium heads. This makes it lighter and easier to ride. It’s also fuel injected. The engine, known as the blockhead, has 29,458 miles on the clock. It also has a lineage that can be traced back to the Shovelhead and Ironhead engines. Meanwhile all of the tech is hidden behind the engine and the fuel tank.

With our second to none workshop having prepped the bike, as we do with all our pre owned machines, the ’72 comes with the peace of mind that has kept our customers happy year after year. As such it includes an official Harley-Davidson warranty.
