Who are we?
The “Boobs and Balls” organisers are an amalgamation of likeminded individuals with a dual common purpose. Firstly, a passion for two wheels and the camaraderie of friends who share a love of the open road and secondly, the impact that cancer has on us through loved ones, club members and friends who have been affected.
The genesis of “Boobs and Balls” was conceived at Waterford Harley Davidson who in turn reached out to Celtic Thunder HOG, Harley Davidson Club of Ireland (HDCI) and the Freewheelers MC, of which a total membership count consists of nearly 200 bikers. A committee was formed and in March 2011, the “Boobs and Balls” charity event was born with the challenge of raising at least €25,000 for the Solas Centre and to support those afflicted by cancer: cancer patients, their families and their carers.
What an outrageous name for a charitable event, “Boobs and Balls”, it’s pretty funny isn’t it? Well actually, it’s not funny at all; we’re serious, deadly serious!
For Her

For Him
Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 18-35 years. The number of men diagnosed with testicular cancer has grown by approximately 34% over the past decade.
For All of Us
The Solas Centre improves and expands the service that the South Eastern Cancer Foundation (SECF) provides. This includes counselling, group support and relaxation therapies for cancer patients, their families and carers at their drop-in centre in Waterford. This work is also supported through outreach programmes throughout the South East counties of Kilkenny, South Tipperary, Carlow and Wexford.
We need your support
With the opening of the new Solas Centre, the South Eastern Cancer Foundation is aiming to grow its services and quadruple it’s reach to support over 1000 cancer patients this year. All of the services at the Solas Centre are free of charge and are funded entirely by the generous donations of people like you and me. Our objective with “Boobs and Balls” is to ensure that the staff and volunteers at the Solas Centre can continue to perform their outstanding work, without the obstacles of financial restraints.
